Mathematics

The math curriculum is standards-based and represents current research into mathematics teaching using best practices. The standards are primary instructional targets that outline the essential knowledge and skills that students must know and be able to do by the end of each respective grade. The guide is based on the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NTCM) Learning Standards that have been merged with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the Archdiocese of Hartford Standards.
The domains are:

• Numbers Theory, Operations, and Algebraic Thinking

• Numbers and Operations in Base Ten

• Measurement

• Geometry

• Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability

• Number Sense

Middle School 

• Ratios and Proportional Relationships 

• Algebra 

The math curriculum empowers all students to meet new, challenging standards of education and prepares them to become life-long learners.
