St. Augustine School will proceed this summer with a renovation of our gymnasium! St. Augustine students will have a top-notch facility (including a brand new gym floor) to play and perform in! The bulk of the project will be completed this summer, and ready for student use throughout the 2025-26 school year!
Special congratulations to Mrs. Vescera and members of the 8th grade who submitted work for winning the Classroom Award from the Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center Art & Writing Contest. Mia Mendelsohn, Patrick Wingate and Kalaivani Cholan received Honorable Mention with Distinction awards and Mrs. Vescera was awarded the Silverstein Educator Grant. Congratulations!
8th grader, Patrick Wingate, is one of three diocesan students who qualified for the State Spelling Bee competition at the Regional Spelling Bee at St. Mary's in Cranston on January 29. Patrick represented St. Augustine School at the regional along with fellow School Spelling Bee winner, Nicholas Espana (6th grade).
8th grader Juliana Gutkoski won the 2024-25 Knights of Columbus essay contest on "The Virtues of Elected Leaders" for the entire state of Rhode Island! Juliana's essay has now been entered into international competition.
The St. Augustine School Glee Club performed the National Anthem at the URI vs Loyola men's basketball game on February 18, 2024. Bravo to Mrs. Lamothe and our gifted SAS singers!
