Technology
The technology curriculum consists of technology knowledge, skills, and competencies. It offers a set of guidelines concerning what Pre-K-12 students should know and be able to do in order to use technology effectively learning in all content areas.
Students need to be able to determine the appropriate technology for a specific task, to be able to locate and evaluate information related to a task and to communicate information to a specific audience. Students are taught to integrate these skills and competencies into content areas. Computer instruction is offered once a week and is integrated into the classroom on a daily basis. Students in grades 2-8 have a Chromebook assigned to them.
As a Blended Learning school, small group instruction, independent work, collaborative work, and differentiated instruction is made possible by the use of Chromebooks in each classroom.
